What You Send Out Is What You Get Back

Most of us have preconditioned beliefs about money and the judgments we place on money. In fact, money allows you to give back, to support others, and to create positive change in the world. Financial abundance brings your promptings into focus and allows you to act on those promptings in life-changing ways. Today you might act on a prompting by sending a greeting card to someone. A few years from now you may start a foundation as a result of acting on a prompting.

My dad made an impression on me as a young man. He always carried a money clip with several hundreds of dollars in cash, which allowed him to help people in need. Almost every time we ate out as a family, I saw my dad pay for someone else’s meal.

When my brother died, my dad’s company was going through a rough time. At the funeral, one of his friends gave my dad an envelope. After the service my dad opened it and found enough money to pay for the service. Now, in a time of need, someone showed up to help him. As the saying goes, what you send out is what you get back. After hearing this story, I vowed I would be one of those guys showing up with an envelope.
